FAQ

Do I have to give my employees paid sick leave?

Yes.  California requires that you provide a certain number of paid sick leave per year.  Note, many municipalities, such as Los Angeles, have higher paid sick leave requirements.  Unused sick pay carries over to the next year up to a maximum number of hours; however, accrued but unused sick pay does not have to be paid to the employee upon termination.
